Tulmeen Resources Advances Wilmac Property Exploration in Proven BC Copper Belt

Jul 21, 2025

Tulmeen Resources Corporation is advancing exploration at its 2,987-hectare Wilmac Property, strategically located just 10 kilometers west of Hudbay Minerals’ Copper Mountain Mine in Princeton, British Columbia. With a proven geological address and encouraging early results, Wilmac is emerging as a compelling copper exploration opportunity in one of Canada’s premier mining regions.

The property is fully road-accessible via Highway 3, with an extensive logging road network enabling efficient fieldwork. It lies within the Quesnel Arc, a globally recognized copper-gold porphyry belt that hosts multiple producing mines. Importantly, the geology of the Wilmac Property includes intrusions from the Tulameen Ultramafic-Mafic Complex, the Copper Mountain Suite, and the Whipsaw Porphyry, all of which are associated with significant copper systems in the district.

Exploration to date has confirmed multiple mineralization styles, including disseminated and stockwork chalcopyrite, bornite, magnetite-replacement veins, and chalcopyrite-bearing breccias. In 2023, trench sampling at the Wilmac MINFILE occurrence delivered average copper grades of 0.639% (6,390 ppm) across nine samples, with highs of 1.67% Cu. These results, combined with strong epidote and chlorite alteration, indicate the presence of a fertile porphyry system.

Field programs completed between 2022 and 2024 mapped key road networks, confirmed new mineralized exposures, and collected rock samples across multiple tenures. Five additional samples were taken in 2024 and are scheduled for analysis in 2025, with results expected to further define exploration targets.

Beyond surface mineralization, large Induced Polarization (IP) anomalies have been identified along Whipsaw Creek and the Condor Corridor, suggesting the presence of blind porphyry systems at depth. This exploration model is consistent with Copper Mountain and other alkalic Cu-Au porphyries in British Columbia, where high-grade deposits are often hosted below surface.

Looking ahead, Tulmeen Resources plans to build on these encouraging results with expanded geophysics, trenching, and drill targeting in 2025. With copper entering a structural deficit and Wilmac located in a Tier-1 copper belt, the project provides investors with leveraged exposure to one of the most compelling commodity trends of the coming decade.
